Forres, Nairn & District Riding for the Disabled

Volunteering

Volunteering with us is one of the most rewarding things you can do – for the children and those with dementia who benefit enormously from your contribution – and for yourself – you will gain so much.

Volunteering with a friendly group of like-minded people allows you to help others, while using your time and enthusiasm to make friends and gain a real sense of purpose.

We need volunteers who can help in any number of ways, not just being directly involved with the ponies and children at the riding sessions on Monday mornings (during term time) or at the Tea With A Pony sessions (13.00 to 14.00 fortnightly during term time March to October).

From crazy fundraising to baking cakes to event organising, volunteering with us is so rewarding.

If you are interested and want to know more contact us using the details in the ‘GET IN TOUCH’  section below and someone will get back to you.

WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS SAY

  • “Volunteering for RDA has given me a real purpose and a new direction in life. I can honestly say that it is the best thing I have ever done.”
  • ” I really look forward to Monday mornings now – I never said that when I was working!”
  • “I love baking and it’s a real pleasure to produce things for the Coffee Mornings  and social events, and to help raise money to allow these children to benefit from riding.”
  • ” It’s brilliant to see the smiles on the riders’ faces when they come to us. I enjoy chatting to them and helping them do things that no one ever thought they could do.”
